VonPat has worked patiently for the last eleven years to present a complete and comprehensive dissection: his first body of work, most of which was produced during a feverish four years. On view are over seventy works of highly detailed technical processes that push the evolvement of pencil, pen, and oil: utilizing an error, to draw from doubt, without erasing is to discover unknown divisions of physical manipulations. Entirely self taught, from an early age, the curiosity to draw was there, but left virtually untapped until his early twenties, where upon, the pressure to explore internal anxieties, led to the choice: "Either, you turn and face the scream, or you lose your mind." Throughout his childhood Pat did lose his mind, or rather, never developed a collective one. Alone and unaware of a world outside himself, he struggled to learn "logically". He was a little boy who was lost in his emotion, until, a little girl named Vonnie showed him a human connection, a connection to the world.

This exhibition is an implosion of the human condition, showing glimpses into vastly complex fragments, a puzzle, an anthropological site, where everyone is an unknown to be found and pieced together. VonPat suffers to share insight into depths most of us deem as "TOO DEEP". He continues to reside on the perimeters of the collective but knows all too well that he is in the center of it, he doesn’t want to converse with you about your mundane day, and so he stays silent . . . and screams to himself, compiling, waiting for the opportunity to exhibit what you deny yourself to see . . . the beauty, the horror. . . . RESPONSIBILITY. Thank you Lisa and Jeff for giving me the opportunity.

THIS EXHIBITION IS DEDICATED TO MY LOVING WIFE VONNIE, FOR WITHOUT HER MY VOCATION WOULD NOT BE SEEN.
