Kurt Herrmann : Appalachian Skin : Statement

The mountains, water, trees, sky and all the living creatures that have surrounded me for most of my life make up my “Appalachian Skin”. I am a product of my past and my environment and although I’ve traveled and lived in other parts of the world my roots remain in Pennsylvania’s natural world where I first learned to see. It is an indelible mark, as if a rainbow trout were tattooed across my forehead. And I wear it everywhere, always.
