> Kenneth B. Miller : Biography Ken has been making art for as long as he can remember. As a child he would spend hours working on elaborate drawings on posterboard, creating vast and impossible cities and landscapes. When he was 12, he began experimenting with manipulating digital images on his first home computer. When he attended college at Pennsylvania State University, he studied graphic design, photography, art history, and computer animation, in addition to learning how to draw and paint with oils. Each new technique was a new tool for creating art, and the main focus of his work was to create art that was not constrained by technical limitations. In 1990, Ken discovered something called “mail art,” which is an international network of artists who exchange work by mail. He has participated in scores of international exhibitions, and ran his own compilation project called “Exquisite Square,” which had over 200 participants from 27 countries. In 1995 he started a publication called Shouting at the Postman, which he writes and designs both in print and on the Web. Ken has been exhibiting his paintings since 1991, including shows at art galleries, Borders books, Pennsylvania State University, the Philadelphia Public Library, the Art Institute of Philadelphia and assorted coffee shops. He was a committee member of the Artists Guild of the Delaware Valley for much of 2000, and won several awards in their exhibitions. He became a member of the Highwire Gallery in March 2004. Ken currently resides with his wife and daughter in Bucks County and is employed as a graphic designer for a silk-screening company. For more information,
